Each Trust Score is computed by Bali Clinic Guide from public Google (50%), Tripadvisor (25%) and Fresha (25%) ratings, each adjusted toward 4.5 until it has 25 reviews; a missing platform counts as 4.0, and a possibly unlicensed provider has 2.00 deducted. It is not a Google, Tripadvisor or Fresha rating. Licensed providers are always listed first.
The formula in words
- For each platform, the public rating is pulled toward 4.5 by 25 imaginary reviews. A rating with many reviews barely moves; a rating with few reviews moves a lot. In numbers: adjusted = (reviews × rating + 25 × 4.5) ÷ (reviews + 25).
- A platform with no profile, zero reviews, or a figure older than 90 days counts as 4.0.
- The Trust Score is 50% of the adjusted Google figure, 25% of the adjusted Tripadvisor figure and 25% of the adjusted Fresha figure.
- A provider marked as possibly unlicensed has 2.00 deducted from the result, and no score goes below 1.00. The deduction is shown beside the score.
- Scores are shown to two decimals and compared on the unrounded value.
Worked example
A clinic rated 4.9 on Google from 297 reviews, 4.9 on Tripadvisor from 36 reviews and 5.0 on Fresha from 58 reviews scores 4.83: the adjusted figures are 4.87, 4.74 and 4.85, weighted 50/25/25.
A clinic rated 4.9 on Google from 1,141 reviews and 4.6 on Tripadvisor from 88 reviews, with no Fresha profile, scores 4.47: the missing platform counts as 4.0 and pulls the score down even though its Google rating is identical. Fewer platforms means a lower ceiling: a provider listed only on Google cannot score above 4.50.
A possibly unlicensed provider rated 4.7 on Google from 61 reviews, with no other profiles, scores 2.07: the rating score is 4.07 and 2.00 is deducted for operating without a facility licence.
How providers are ordered
- Licence status: confirmed first, then not yet verified, then possibly unlicensed providers.
- Trust Score, highest first.
- Total public reviews across the three platforms, highest first.
- Name.
Filters never change this order.
Ratings
Ratings and review counts are shown as observed on the date beside each figure. Figures older than 90 days are not shown. Google and Tripadvisor figures are recorded nightly; Fresha figures are entered by hand with the date they were checked. Bali Clinic Guide writes no reviews of its own.
Top 10 pages
Eligible providers are those listed in Bali that are not marked as possibly unlicensed and have at least 10 public reviews across Google, Tripadvisor and Fresha. They are ordered by licence status (confirmed first), then Trust Score, then total reviews. The list is recomputed every night; the date shown changes only when the order or a shown score changes.
