How we verify a clinic licence in Bali

Every provider on Bali Clinic Guide carries one of three licence statuses. Each status is the result of a check of public records on the date shown beside it; none is a guarantee.

The three statuses

  • Verified — facility found in the Kemenkes registry, licensing information and documents available, medical director's SIP and STR valid; or listed on SATUSEHAT, part of an established hospital or clinic group, or confirmed by the operator. The provider page names the basis under "Basis".
  • Not yet verified — listed from open data; no licence evidence found or submitted yet.
  • Possibly unlicensed — medical procedures offered with no facility licence found, or reported by the public as operating without proper licensing requirements, confirmed by a second independent source, published only after the publisher's review, with a legal notice and a right of reply.

What we check

  1. Facility licence. The clinic's trading name and address are searched in the Kemenkes Registrasi Fasyankes registry. A match on name and address, plus a sighted licence document (Sertifikat Standar or the licence type in force), is required for "Verified".
  2. Medical director. The medical director's STR (Surat Tanda Registrasi) is checked on the KKI register. The date of the check is shown on the provider page.
  3. Documents supplied by providers. Providers may send their facility code, licence document and STR number to providers@baliclinicguide.com. Documents are checked within ten working days and the status is updated with the date of the check.

Re-checks

Every confirmed licence is re-checked at least every 90 days. The next check date is shown in the "Record" panel of each provider page. Ratings are refreshed nightly and shown with the date they were observed.

Possibly unlicenseds

An "Possibly unlicensed" status is published only when two conditions are both met: the publisher has set the publication flag on the record, and the provider's identifier is listed in the publication allowlist. Every such record carries this notice:

Licence status reflects the public records available to Bali Clinic Guide on the date shown. 'Possibly unlicensed' means that no facility licence for this trading name or address was found in the Kemenkes registry, or that the public has reported it as operating without proper licensing requirements. It is a statement about public records and reports, not a finding by any authority. Providers can submit evidence at any time; corrections are published within ten working days.

Right of reply and corrections

Any provider can reply to its listing or submit evidence at any time by writing to providers@baliclinicguide.com. Corrections are published within ten working days of receipt. The change and its date are recorded on the provider page.
